Seems like a pretty standard small, local cardroom. The action and level of play almost makes up for any downside of this room though. I especially like that they spread 3/6 HE with a full kill, which makes it close to profitable (players get antsy about playing 4/8+ but will play 3/6 w/Kill without thinking twice). I definitely think that I will revisit when they are running their 3-12 spread limit games. I suspect a huge potential for profit!
Cardroom Quality: The tables and chairs are moderately worn, but not in bad shape. All tables have shufflemasters. The thing that set me off was the smell (and I verified that it was the room and not one of the players). The smell was something like a bowling alley (imagine that) or actually more like a bowling shoe.
Player Level: Lives up to all the stories that I've ever heard about this place. This is a prime spot to apply that small stakes holdem strategy that you've read about. Players not afraid to call 3 bets on the turn with second pair and no draw.
Dealers: Average with nothing notable. Saw a few minor mistakes, but other than that the cards went out fast.
Food and Drink: I didn't find the food to be particularly good, pretty much what I would expect at a bowling alley. Service was always available.
Management: There was a floor manager, I think. They were running a main game and a 'must move' table, which seemed kind of odd for 3/6 HE.
Extras: Food was comped, which was nice. Other than that, standard Monte Carlo board.

I have not played in their tournaments but plan on doing so soon.
Cardroom Quality: Not the nicest of places, but I am there to play cards!
Player Level: Some decent players some very bad players. When I have been there it has not been too crazy where there are many caps before the flop. Some people like to do a live straddle which I never really understood. There are some players that like to raise and reraise preflop with some very marginal hands.
Dealers: Very friendly and pretty knowledgeable. I have only been there a few times and most already know my name.
Food and Drink: Food is decent, even better with the price (free to all players). Don't forget to tip the server though, I get annoyed when people get free food and drinks and don't give a tip.
Management: Pretty good. I have not had much experience with this.
Extras: The reason I play there. A decent monte carlo board and a $200 high hand. The bad beat pays not only the table the bad beat is hit, but any hold em' table that is playing when the bad beat is hit. The last bad beat a few weeks ago paid over 100K and is already up to 50K! The table shares for the last bad beat were about 1600-1700. I hope to be there when a bad beat hits!

This room isn't big or fancy, like the tribal casinos, but it's pleasant and my favorite place to play. They spread 3/6 LHE with full kill all the time and 3/6 Omaha/8 with a kill on Tuesdays and Fridays. Occasionally they'll get 4/8 or a 3-12 spread limit game going. They actually have five tables, but the fourth and fifth are rarely used except for tournaments.
Cardroom Quality: This is a small room which is part of a mini casino attached to the bowling alley. They have five tables, but except for tournaments only three are usually in use. The tables were refelted over the winter and all have auto shufflers. The room is well lit with comfortable chairs. There's also a full-sized white board with the Monte Carlo payouts and tournament information.
Player Level: Player skill level varies a lot depending when you play. The morning crowd is pretty tough -- a lot of regulars clocking hours for the free roll and trying to hit jackpot payouts. The evening crowd is a bit wilder, weaker, (drunker ?) and looser. Their daily tournaments attract some decent players, but play is generally between poor and outright horrible.
Dealers: This is one of the places where Kenmore shines. The dealers and friendly and know players by name -- even those who haven't been in for a few months. They remind players to clock in and keep the games running smoothly, keeping some of the obnoxious players in line. Dealers are also willing to jump into short-handed games to keep them going.
Food and Drink: Kenmore Lanes has a restaurant and the full menu is available in the poker room. Breakfast is pretty good. I've never had a bad lunch but never had a great one either.
Management: They hired a poker room manager about six months ago. He came in gung ho with a lot of ideas and made some changes then disappeared. They've listened to play demands to spread an Omaha/8 game twice a week. They usually rotate a dealer through the desk position rather than having a specific floor person on duty. Their daily tournament NL tournament is way too fast and they've been unwilling to slow it down, even going to 15 minute rounds instead of 12. They do offer the only dealer's choice tournament I've ever seen in town -- high on fun and luck.
Extras: Another place where Kenmore Lanes beats the competition. Food and drink (no alcohol) are FREE to seated players; as noted above, it's not gourmet but it's similar to other card rooms. The top 60 players in clocked hours qualify for a $5000 free roll, which averages out to $80/person. Since it takes 25-30 hours to qualify that's like a $3/hr comp!

The house adds $1000 to the first Sunday of the month tournament. They have a full Monte Carlo board with a large payout for bad beat an a royal flush in each suit. This is all player funded with a jackpot drop.
