A Taste of the Tropics, Friday, 17 August 2007 Written by skitch78 Cardroom Quality: Very spacious casino, and you never feel cramped sitting at any of the 5 poker tables available.
Player Level: Your usual mix of senior-aged calling stations, rich wives whose husband is at the blackjack table, and the sunglass-wearing wannabe professional honing his skills at 3/6 limit. Dealers: Nothing spectacular that I've witnessed. Some of the dealers seem bored to be there - however, I still give them a 3 because of some of the extra-cute ones. Food and Drink: Haven't actually eaten here, but I assume it's the same as the other Silver Dollars. Still not a big fan of their comp-card system. Management: They seem fairly competent, keeping track of higher-limit requests and balancing tables as needed. Extras: They switch between High hands and Monte Carlo payouts depending on the day of the week. Last I was there, some of the Royal flushes were up to $9000!
