There's no action in Federal Way!, Saturday, 11 August 2007 Written by skitch78 They add up to $500 to their tournaments ($25+$20 rebuy, bonus if you pay $45 up front) and the structure is better than most - 15 minute rounds, but they don't double every round. 100/200 -> 200/400 -> 300/600 instead of 400/800. Sundays at 11:00am, Mondays at 9:00pm, and Wednesdays at 1:00pm (or thereabouts). Cardroom Quality: Four tables that are well-maintained, with comfortable chairs. Very spacious and inviting. They run 4/8 LHE with a 1/2 kill (to 6/12), and a 6/12 game (10/20 kill) on Fridays and Saturdays.
Player Level: A lot of GAMBOOL! "There's no action in Federal Way!" is one of the dealer's taglines as he pushes a $200 pot to one of the regulars who wins with 3/5 offsuit! I've seen people go through $500 in the span of a few hours. Very juicy if you can be patient and ride out the eminent bad-beats. Dealers: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They keep things running smoothly, and Lisa is probably THE fastest dealer I've ever seen. Food and Drink: Good food selection and all you need to do is ask for a comp. Breakfast is great, and they have a large Asian menu. Management: The room is well-run and floors/managers are responsive to player requests. Extras: High hand periods, as well as a decent Monte Carlo board (starting with Quad 7s), along with a $2500 bad beat (Aces over Jacks beat). They've been running double jackpot payouts during certain hours for the past 2 months, possibly longer!
