As the largest poker rooms in the area, my opinion is that the Muckleshoot measures up. Probably the only real downside are the types of players that frequent the room (many retirees, fairly tight play) at the lower stakes (10/20 and below). With the introduction of the 'spread limit' games (NL lite) there has been an increase in action players, but they tend to stick to the 3/5 and 5/10 spread limit games.
Cardroom Quality: Overall above average. Chairs are ok, many of the felts are new, shufflemaster at every table.
Player Level: The players tend to be in to older range in general. Tight play for the most part with a few wild casino players spewing chips from time to time. Be prepared for some tight play as compared to other low limit cardrooms.
Dealers: The thing that shines about the 'Muck' is the dealers. I would have to say that with only 1 or 2 exceptions, the dealers at the Muckleshoot are the best and most professional in the area.
Food and Drink: The food selection is fine, haven't had anything that was 'bad', but also nothing that was particularly outstanding.
Management: The management is solid. Haven't seen any bad decisions with everything handled in a professional manner. The boards are still the old whiteboard with lots of shouting. When they expanded the cardroom there was supposed to be a new electronic board system, but that has yet to be implemented.
Extras: 1/2 off on food orders. $15k bad beat jackpot (Aces full of Jacks or better) and 2 hour high hand jackpots. The down side is as they expanded the jackpots the jackpot rake went up from $1 to $2. Also players can clock hours for a quarterly drawing.

I go there because its convienient to me and there are lots of other options when I'm tired of playing poker, being table games, slots, dancing, and resturant choices. I also know a lot of the players so there is also that reason. I think they need to make some improvements. For one, they should not tolerate an unruly player at all. Any rudeness or abusiveness should be grounds for leaving the poker room immediately. Sometimes you get a player that's just plain mean and they make the game less fun.
Cardroom Quality: The Cardroom is big. In fact so big I\'ve seen new people wanting to try it out get intimidated. They have a tall log in desk which I hate. They need to make the sign in desk lower to make it more friendly. There are deck shufflers which make the play faster. They have a board where you can see where your name is on the list. The 1$ chips are all white which get dirty. Wish they\'d get different color $1 chips! Also they have one of the people who assign people to tables which does so in such an urgent fashion it stresses me out. It\'s not an emergency room for goodness sake. She needs to take a chill pill.
Player Level: There are all kinds of players to be found there from early beginners to those with vast amounts of experience. From tight to loose. I\'d say overall it has a medium amount of bluffing...whereas if you go to some other cardrooms you might see a lot more.
Dealers: Dealers are all over the place in demeanor and experience. They\'ve lost some great dealers since i\'ve been playing there which is unfortunate. Most know what they are doing and do a really good job. Some deal fast, some slow. Mistakes are rare. Sometimes they get tired, maybe have too long of a shift.
Food and Drink: The poker room menu is thin. They don\'t have a lot of choices. I suggested during heavy times like when they have drawings or other special events t hey have a buffet table because if you order food it gets there late and if its supposed to be hot, it will be cold. The waitress\'s are also mixed from very good to very poor. There is one waitress I cringe if I have to order from because she\'s sloopy and have seen her put her finger on top of a drinking straw which to me is gross. Another that will forget you even ordered a drink half the time. The offer bottled water and also wish they\'d put them in an ice bucket for us to retrieve ourselves, especially in tournaments which are in the back room and get less watiress attention. The casino has a players card which anywhere else you can use for food and drink but not in the poker room. In the poker room you have to buy at half price. Full price for desserts.
Management: I\'d say overall management is poor. They have made some bad calls. They rely overly on the dealers perception or explaination and sometimes those are incorrect. I\'ve had 3 high hands called right at the time when the clock was about to expire and the manager said it was not in time for that hour, but had to wait for the next - even though everybody at the table argued that I was in time before the the hour switched. I\'d say that management needs to take classes, training for sure. There are a couple good managers, but overall most are hurting the game and the poker rooms reputation. I just heard about a bad call that cost some guy $500. I bet he\'s not happy one bit. Even the dealers felt the call was bad.
Extras: They have a monte carlo board now, which is nice. I do like that. But of course the bad beat is now almost impossible to hit with it being quad 8888 being beaten. They do have pagers but you have to give them a drivers license or a credit card to get one. No other card room I know makes you do that.

Someone at that casino needs to look at their policies of refusing to start new games, especially that one card room director, who ignores players and refuses to even try to get a game going until their are a million people on the list.
Cardroom Quality: I would play here all the time if they would start games instead of waiting until there are 20 people on the lists. This is the worst run card room in the country. The director with the mustache and black hair (don't know his name), REFUSES to open tables when their are players, so you have to wait forever, unlike other casinos.
Management: The management's excuse for not opening tables is that "then there would be not list." That is pretty dumb and costs the casino money. It is so frustrating and makes no sense. Even if the new game breaks after an hour, the casino still makes money. Instead people like me won't go because we don't want to wait 2 hours to sit down. He will not listen to reason.

I like the overall feel of the game other poker rooms feel very badly run. The dealers and staff make you feel very welcome, if you make a daily trip soon everyone will know your name.
Cardroom Quality: All the tables have been given new felt, but the tables most used are starting to fade. Shufflemasters on every table, lighting is intimate and not bright like some rooms I've been to.
Player Level: Most players on the 4/8 - 3/6 games can range from tight to loose and you can win big or lose big on these games. The higher limit games are usually met with players who play smart with a few loose players thrown in.
Dealers: Dealers are very professional with the exception of a few.
Food and Drink: The poker room menu has changed in the past couple months and there is very little to say about it, there is a free breakfast buffet every morning at 7AM, don't know how long that will last.
Management: Floor supervisors are very professional and there are only a few calls that have raised my eyebrows, but overall most know their business.
Extras: The daily high hand giveaway has just been moved to every hour for $250 and that is all day, every day.

A friendly--and profitable--place to play, at least on a Sunday afternoon. But where are the crowds on weekends?
Cardroom Quality: Overall, a nice room, but a bit dark. Tables are spaces far enough apart, but they are a bit long for 9-handed. The felt seems very, very worn as well, as do some of the chips. For the "largest" poker room in the Northwest, it's hard to believe that it was nearly empty early on a Sunday afternoon--especially one when the Seahawks weren't playing. No $6/$12 game going at all, and open seats at the $3/$6. Many other higher limit games were awaiting players to spread those games as well. the electronic board, while nice, I mounted well away from the entrance, making it inconvenient when you walk in. They should have one at--or even right outside.
Player Level: What I like best: loose passive players, at least at the $3/$6 game I ended up in. Let me put it this way: when I sat down, the guy next to me commented (jokingly) when I chose to wait for the blinds to pass rather than post that he was disappointed that he wasn't going to be able to get my money. 2 hours and 15 minutes later, I walked away up $140 (that's more than 20 BB per hour) and he, once of the big stack, was close to being felted. A *very* passive game. A solid, patient, knowledgeable limit player should do well in this game. (That said, a few more aggressive--and younger--players began to fill up the table as the older ones there were felted and left. They don't play better, just more aggressive--they think they are at a WPT final table--so potential variance is higher.)
Dealers: Competent and friendly. It's obvious that many of the players play there regularly, and both dealers and players are on a first-name basis. yet they didn't make this outsider feel at all uncomfortable. Only once did I see a dealer expose a card, hands were always read correctly, and they kept the games going well.
Food and Drink: Can't comment. Didn't eat or drink.
Management: Never saw any issues that needed floor intervention. they keep on top of high hands for the high hand jackpot. I was minorly annoyed at the occasional Keno runners waling by and asking if anyone wanted to play. Never saw that in any Vegas poker room.
Extras: Tremendously great that not only the whole poker room, but the entire casino is non-smoking. The poker room is way over at the opposite end of the complex from the parking garage.

I am probably not going to spend a lot of time at the Mucks anymore because I prefer Limit 10-20/30-60 HE over Spread Limit. But for the average 4-8 player or spread player it is a good place to play.
Cardroom Quality: By far the biggest room in the state, Quality tables, nice set up. It's even easy to walk around in this 30 table room.
Player Level: What you would expect from such a large room. Many recreational players, and many nits grinding it out.
Dealers: Some of the dealers here are the best in the state, while once in a while the new hires or extra board dealers have the usual issues. They tend to get the worst shifts or just kind of vanish I have noticed. Overall the dealing staff is great.
Food and Drink: You get half off if you order in the poker room. The food was okay. I tried to get the discount from one of the other places in the casino and told I could not. That was a bit disappointing since the best food comes from the buffet or other areas.
Management: I have been frustrated with the management from time to time over the years. I used to play 20-40 here daily and on a few occasions they allowed the game to break with players on the list. Recently I have tried a few times to play 10-20 or 20-40 there but now they seem to only care about the spread limit games. Few nights ago there was one game and 32 on the list and they would not start a new 10-20? My other complaint is that they have a $65 tournament and $15 of that does not go back to the players. Nearly 30% Juice!
Extras: Bad beat now frozen at 15k. (personally I liked it when it was always 30-50k) Many high hands.
